I was recently accepted into a craft fair in Austin Texas called Renegade Craft. The fair will take place November 23rd and 24th. I'm working hard to create porcelain expresso cups, mugs, saucers, spoons, pour-overs, bottles and fermentation crocks for the holidays. I have a new class, Intermediate ceramics, starting Sunday, October 28th.
I took a break from making to travel through Southern Utah and Northern Arizona for a week. Now I am back at Taos Clay and excited to get to work on my holiday wares. I am making several sets of porcelain pour-overs, cups, spoons and saucers for the holidays. I also put several of my hanging fish in this months wood firing and can’t wait to see how they come out :)
This month, September, I have been working on creating more hanging fish sculptures for a large installation. The fish are thrown in enclosed bottle forms that I sculpt when leather hard. I created some larger vessels that will be painted with figures. Also, I finished a set of porcelain cups and saucers that will go into the upcoming wood firing.
